Kim Deoksu, who created samullori, and other early performers are descendants of Namsadangpae, or a nomadic entertainers group. They got excellent chances for learning pungmullori from masters in the three southern provinces. Only with their comprehensive learning and talents could they create samullori, a new style of performance with a higher artistic quality of the rhythms.
